Almalay & Hattie Harris
5 x 7 acrylic on wood

Almalay loved to sit on the front porch in grandma's old rocking chair. She liked to rummage through her sewing basket for bits and bobs, and knew she'd someday be a great seamstress.

When she wasn't at school, Hattie could usually be found in the kitchen. She had one heck of a sweet tooth & was always creating new (and not always tasty) confections. But she knew someday folks would pay a pretty penny for her sugared delights.

A Very Belated Hello!

I've neglected the olde blog for quite sometime, having crept right through the winter holidays and New Year! No better time than the present, to share a few newish bits and bobs - and a few things you could say I love!

"Candy Cottage" Dress & "Bow'n Places Heel" at the wonderful ModCloth

I'm smitten with this cameo print, especially the colour! Available in her Etsy shoppe:
HHOP by Kathryn DiLego

And a few things of my own which will keep me traveling with me (even though it's just a few blocks away!) to the upcoming Celebration Art & Wine Stroll on Saturday, February 26th.

"Pete & Pippa", 4" x 5" acrylic on canvas

"Nora", 7" x 9" acrylic on wood

"Madeline", 7" x 9" acrylic on wood

I'll try my best to frequent these virtual parts, lest I find myself tip-toeing through the weeds!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Bookmarks & Buttons!

A lovely grey and melancholy day at last, and the first rain in months. What does this mean? A cold front is on its way! Which means I must pair-up my fuzzy socks. I don't think the missing sock phenomena will ever be resolved! And on this dreary day, books and buttons have made their way into ye old shoppe.

Happy November everyone!

Merry Hallowe'en! All Hallow's Eve! Blessed Samhain!

And lastly, Happy Ocotber, even though its the last day o' the month
(though certainly the best!)

While the leaves aren't quite rustling outside my windows, the witching hour draws near. Only a few hours until the streets are chock full o' ghouls & goblins. Here are some spooks of Hallowe'ens past, perhaps they may return this eve!

All photos belong to their respective owners, whomever that may be.

Paper Good(ness)! Oh my!

Hello!

I've been keeping busy with all sorts of pumpkin & autumn inspired ideas. Including some new packaging & cards, which I absolutely adore! I am thrilled with how theses came out, and so happy to have a monstrous mound of peppermint twist twine courtesy of my wonderful mom! Thanks mom!

Also, newly hand-crafted pocket size notebooks. I will have these available at the upcoming Art Stroll this weekend. If you are in the Central Florida area, please stop by & say hello!

Until then,
